HI-NRG Eurobeat artist Franz "Mad Cow" Tornado asked me to draw him a CD cover for his upcoming album.
He's been my #1 idol for so long, I never imagined being in contact with him. To draw an official Eurobeat album cover for someone who's music and style symbolizes so much for me..I'm a very happy girl.
This is the best thing to ever happen in my entire life, my most passionate dream is reality.
More awesome than anything else I've already done and any place I've almost been, tonight and for the rest of my life.
OMG your so lucky! i love his music and its awesome that he contacted you to do his cover. This looks great and will definitely get his album so i can be like I KNOW WHO DREW DIS
Now that is pretty much a dream project come true. I can't really think of an example... maybe if X Japan asked me to do their next album cover?? Anyway, when I bear such a possibility in mind, I think I can grasp how you feel. Go out and buy yourself a meal as congratulations! That's what I do when I get a good (translation) project! And have an ice cream sundae with it.
Also, loving the five tone cel shading. Obviously. Heh heh.
One of the biggest areas of conflict for humanity in this day and age is the idea that there's only a certain set amount of "Success" to be had, as though some all powerful being put a hard lock on the number of happy people before the cosmos was created. Of course, this leads to jealousy and hoarding, where the entire goal of life is to "get yours" because if you don't, someone else will make it "getting there's'".
This piece demonstrates just how inaccurate that belief can be. Basking in the glow of your dream made material and your joy in realizing it was, as all dreams always are, far more joyous than you even imagined, I can only help but reflect on truth. The happier people are, the more people are happy. The more successful anyone is, the more successful we all are.
Let it ride, Maki. This was always yours, and it's about time you started enjoying you really are.
Thank you so much for suggesting the tone shading in the first place; I tried it on that last album cover I made for myself and that's what he saw that made him even contact me in the first place! Plus the folder helped so much!!
And I have to admit now..*bites lip provocatively* I kinda like it...a lot...it's so relaxing going in and out..with the colors I mean..
I will reward myself handsomely tonight. *flexes hands with gleaming smile*
AND for sure, now I do officially owe you a frozen delight. ~ <3
